Mortal Kombat Defenders of the Realm TV series

Hello and welcome to the reviews guide where things burn.

Ever since the first Mortal Kombat Movie became a huge success in the box office
lead up to a shiity sequel, its seams naturally that TV company wanted to make it into a Series such as Conquest that's what Phelous Reviewing with the character of

SIRO THE GREATEST MORTAL KOMBAT CHARECTER....EVEN KNOW HE NEVER APPEIRED IN THE VIDEO GAMES!

But Apparently TCC the deceased channel before Challenge TV took
over use to have to good cartoon shows such as THE TICK, Galactor and earthworm
Jim, so in the spawn of the mid 90s they made a Mortal Kombat Cartoon series called Defenders of the Realm!

so yeah the show follows our main characters who defends any realms
from evil, so Ill be looking at each episodes from its 1 season run now rules.

1: Ill be looking at one episode at a time (Most of the time ill be Reviewing Films in any cases)

2: if their a character I don't know, leave a comment so I can edit.

3: This is not MKC review this is a show that I remembered as a kid
and finally.

4: This is all opinion based.

so with that said lets take a look at the very first episode
ep 1 Kombat Begins Again
Its starts off with a Wolf named Kiva or Keppa try to attack Nightwolf (way better then the sequel version),
but before that The alarm went off shows the other main character thought the entire episodes, and also these where the actors where unknown at the time.

Brain Tourci, Luke Perry, Cree Summer, Tod Thawley, Clancy brown (best known for Mr Krabss, and Crash Bandicoot) Dorin Harewood, Oliva d'abo, and finally Hellboy himself
Ron Pearlman.

Of course Ron Pearlman, Clancy Brown and Luke Perry are the ones i know the other i dont knows so back to this episode.

Nightwolf gets a red alert from the others find out its the Cyrax clones attacking,
This is where through the episodes their the equalivant of the foot clan or the Power Rangers foot solders as well.

Nightwolf: Mortal Kombat begins again

The Reviewer: OH NOW I GET THE TITLE OF THE EPISODE!
We them pinned, but Sonya being the brain of the outfit
decided to try and take them down, but Lu Kang sees Princess Katina who where a headband and a Black leotard "That how I recognise her" also big improvement over the movies as well, Also Katina speaks to Lu kang through the entire season or no, and of course this show has its catchphrase.

Sonya: KOMBAT TIME!

The Reviewer:....yep....that the catchphrase, way better then Duck's Rock.

So Sonya and other fight valiantly including the famous moves from Sonya and
Jax, apart from lu Kang doesn't do the famous kick, apart he dose the standard kick.

Meanwhile Katina is looking over on top of a cliff, but fights agents the main Cyrax leader,
also no I'm not doing a Ass count on kitana, also She brings out the fans "This was before Mai from king of fighters did that as well"

Mai: What me from the Sheanui school was second with the fans, before she did that...what a rip off.

The Reviewer: No its not....properly your her grand grandmother.

(Mai walks away mad)
Reviewer: with her boobies she can work as a pole dancer

(Mai throws the fan hitting him)
so Kitana throws a fan to the rocket...because their steel, and then use a Fan attack
causing the Cyrax leader to be gone, but the others try to shoot him and guess who shows up its of course Cyrax ordering his army to take them down, But guess who shows up again
its SUB ZERO!
he makes his appearance like Iceman from X-men and freezes the solders
but the other saying RUN AWAY, head back to the portal, Sonya then use her Kiss beam (It happens in the games), and Stryker then uses his Baton which is Disguised as portal
Close device which when i was a kid i really liked that idea.

also Sub Zero in this is my favourite character, he begins like this Lone wolf kind of person Which i really like, Also gives backstory that he was use to be in the Lin Kuqia clan but turns on them, also explained about how his brother lost.

we get a backstory where lu kang through the original sub Zero, now this is from the First
Mortal Kombat movie and the difference is that in movie its the water forming as
icicle not only killing him but also freezing him to death, hear he throws it thus freezing it....."I guess they didn't what it to be copy from the movie"

so Sub Zero then explained why he turn from his clan is because he wants inner peace
also on top of that, the shitty sequel never explained at all, also He warns them that Scorpion is coming to attack earth realm, but then comes RAYDEN the god of lighting,

He was basically busy with the Elder Gods, and then realized Sub-Zero
Helped a lot and also the imform about Scorpion arrived but not so sure.

Sonya: you maybe the god of thunder but and all but you been wrong plenty of times.

The Reviewer: oh no you didn't girlfriend, also in the first movie he was never
wrong at the whole time, in the games Rayden was of advisor helping
the others in need apart from other worlds as well.

So he's not the god of useless but he more like

RAYDEN THE GOD OF ADVISEIING!

so they head to the Kombat Jets "Toy-etic...why didn't they make toys out of it???" but lucky  Lu Kang tells them Sub Zero he's a good guy, so they head back to M.K.H.Q (Mortal Kombat Headquarters) after their success they head back home "of course they turn into Sub marine's as well" so they great them to the H.Q like one of their own, also Nightwolf is a computer Geek......"yeah that never happened in the games, Did he like use on of his Computers to make fatality on Bill Gates"

COMPUTALITY!

But they get Attacked, and turn on Sub Zero because they think he lead them all the way
hear because he betrayed him, but in his Honour he didn't do it and never lead them away
but Sonya being the hot headed of the group wanted to take him out, but Rayden
said he and Nightwolf will deal with him while the others get on their Kombat Jets
to take them down.

Rayden: ah, ah, ah,...I don't recommended it.

Reviewer: err why not...I don't think so.      

So their on the Kombat Jets, If they had missiles or Guns or something??? Try to take down the threat and its BARRAKA CLONES!!!, Back at HQ Sub Zero explained that
Someone places a tracking device while Rayden head to the Elder gods to prepare a portal,
Nightwolf using his Presence detecting the BARRAKA CLONES! is preparing an attack on the HQ,

Nightwolf: KEEPA NOW!

oh yeah through the entire episodes Nightwolf Changes into SUPER NIGHTWOLF!
with Keppa, which I have to admit is really cleaver I wish that happened In the games as well, meanwhile the others outside fight off for a bit while Nightwolf try to fight them off inside, But Sub Zero decided to help,
and faces of BARRACKA! in a pretty good fight scean I might add, but he defeated Him "and I Remember as a kid he would throw him in the Lava....I wish that would've happened but nope aimed for kids patently"  But Rayden comes back sending to the place of no return

Reviewer: THE NULL VOID!

nah actually he the no mac....Why not call them BARRACKA'S,
Using his wooden staff, So the episode ends off with Rayden finding the tracker, Sonya
saying sorry to Sub Zero, and of course it end that Scorpion is attacking the earth realm

Rayden: Mortal Kombat Continues.

End

Verdict:

Kombat begins again is really a good beginning episode to the series, introducing the characters and also Seeing them in their new headquarters, Luke Perry is really good as Sub Zero brining  the Lone wolf trademark, and Ron Pearmen is really great a Stryker,
the other voice actor are ok.

Strengths:
introducing the characters if you did or didn't play the games,
Sub Zero Introduction, and on big battle agents the Barraka clones.

Weakness:

Katina being all ex-position don't know why,
and of course Sonya being all Hot-headed I don't know why.

overall this is episode is really good and hope you enjoy it.
